Couples Workshop
Learning how to give and receive love more fully.
Relationships don’t struggle because people stop loving each other. More often, couples become trapped in patterns of misunderstanding, defensiveness, withdrawal, and unmet emotional needs.
Using a blend of Attachment Theory and Imago Dialogue, this two-day workshop helps you better understand your relationship in a way that is accessible and practical. You can learn to give and receive love more fully, and to connect more deeply with yourself and the person who matters most.
What we explore
Understanding What Lies Beneath
Relationship distress runs deeper than ‘communication problems.’ Unspoken emotions, unmet fears, and unexpressed needs lie at the true heart of a couple’s difficulty. The workshop helps locate, name, and honestly reflect on these vulnerabilities — the only reliable antidote to their otherwise quiet sabotage.
Slowing Down and Connecting
Guided conversations and experiential exercises teach couples to slow the rush of emotional reaction — enough to locate vulnerable feelings and unmet needs, and communicate them more tenderly and accurately. This creates conditions for partners to truly see and hear each other’s realities in ways that may never have been possible before.
Repair and Change
The hallmark of a healthy relationship is not the absence of conflict, but how reconciliation is handled. Sitting with what is raw, messy, and uncomfortable lies at the heart of rupture and repair — and this is where lasting change begins.
Art, Movement and Metaphor
Dance is a metaphor for how couples respond to the emotional ‘music’ of their relationship — in rhythm or profoundly out of step. Through art and movement, we explore the inner world each partner brings to the relationship, and what it means to allow that world to be truly seen.
